This privacy notice is provided under Article 10 of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“KVKK”) to inform you about the personal data processed through wordper.com (“Wordper”).

2. Personal data processed

• Teacher account: Full name, e-mail address, username, password (stored only as an irreversible hash), classes and exercises you create.
• Students / participants: The name or nickname entered in live classes, friend races or individual practice, and typing results (WPM, accuracy, duration, score). Students are never asked for an e-mail address or password.
• Leaderboards: For ranked results, the nickname and score are publicly displayed on the site.
• Security data: IP address, session data, browser/device information, activity logs.
• Cookie data: Strictly necessary cookies and, if you allow them, analytics/advertising cookies. See the Cookie Policy.

3. Purposes and legal grounds

• Creating teacher accounts, signing in and providing class/live session services — necessary for the conclusion or performance of a contract (KVKK Art. 5/2-c).
• Calculating and displaying typing results and building leaderboards — performance of a contract (5/2-c) and legitimate interest (5/2-f).
• Information security, preventing cheating and abuse, detecting errors — legitimate interest (5/2-f).
• Keeping records required by Law No. 5651 and related legislation and responding to authorised public bodies — expressly provided by law and legal obligation (5/2-a, ç).
• Measuring site usage (Google Analytics) and showing personalised ads (Google AdSense) — your explicit consent (Art. 5/1). These cookies only run if you allow them in the cookie banner.

4. Method of collection

Data is collected electronically, by automated or partly automated means, through registration and login forms, live class/race screens, practice results and cookies.

5. Transfers

We do not sell personal data. Data may be shared, limited to the purposes above, with hosting and technical infrastructure providers, with authorised public authorities where required by law and — if you consent — with Google for analytics and advertising. Transfers abroad in connection with Google services are made in accordance with KVKK Art. 9, based on the explicit consent you give in your cookie settings. 6. Retention

Account data is kept for as long as your account exists; security logs are kept for the period required by law. When the period ends or you ask us to delete your account, data is deleted, destroyed or anonymised.

7. Children’s data

Wordper may be used in schools under teacher supervision. We recommend that students use a nickname instead of their real full name in live classes and races. Teachers are responsible for following their institution’s parent information rules when using Wordper in class.

8. Your rights under KVKK Art. 11

You may apply to the data controller to learn whether your data is processed and request information about it; learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used accordingly; know the third parties to whom it is transferred in Turkey or abroad; request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data; request deletion or destruction under Art. 7 and notification of these actions to third parties; object to a result against you arising solely from automated analysis; and claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing.
